hi, in platforms other than windows there is a provision for alarm() I would like to execute a stored procedure. If times out, should stop its execution. Can you please help me. Thanks Venkat

    Alarm works on win32 perl, at least in activestate 5.8. Combine alarm with eval and the %SIG hash.
