I think more people would donate to the community if the overall attitude of the more senior monks was not that of a sour and rude nature. graff is very helpfull from what I have seen of him/her and for the most part is not rude in nature. This I cannot say for most the others (Merlyn, demerphq, diotalevi, Abigail, etc..)

I for one have thought many times in the past of donating financially but then was brought back to reason when one of the above mentioned showed their true colors in someones thread.

It really is too bad that a few bad apples have to spoil it for the rest of us. Not to say these people are not very knowledgable about perl, just that they may need to get away from the computer sometimes and get out and learn better people skills.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

    You're punishing a web site because of personal dislikes for volunteers who've collectively helped many, many times more people than you or I have, put together? That doesn't seem entirely rational.

    Why do you still hang around? If you thought seriously about donating financially, and the thought of merlyn... stopped you from donating, why doesn't that stop you from visiting the monastery?
