    I don't see the word "closed" anywhere on that site. I was able to find the site's mailing list subscription form, I was able to see that there are meetings set up for August 19th (which is a few days from now), and that the site is alive and active. So with waning due respect, what are you talking about?

    That may be true (but I can't find any reference to a closed forum on the site), but they have a number of mailing lists - including one for Perl starters. The lists seem to be largely in English, but I'm sure they would welcome posting in Hebrew.
