It would be cool to have checked flags for each of the newest nodes sections. Typically I'll check different sections on different days, and by the time I get back to the first section it's a hodgepodge of new posts, and posts that I've seen. Sometimes, I have to just clear the page whether I've checked the sections or not b/c the page is just too long. If I could clear as I check, it would save me a ton of scrolling.

Like a lot of internet users, I hate to scroll and I have a 4 second attention...who said what now?

This is not a new issue. The last time it was raised was, I believe, Newest Nodes too big?, and I mentioned several others in this post.

I am not all that familiar with the detailed workings underneath the Monastary so this may be prohibitive, but what about being able to check each message off as you read it? Only those messages you have not read would show.

    Yep! I'll definitely second that.

Something like the chatterbox function that warns you when there is an answer to one of your posts would be perfect (and could re-use some of the code!).
