I hope you realise that that's a crap reply. If it's not portable, take a second to point out where it's not portable. Do you mean in the path? If so, or if elsewhere, how should I fix it?

Makefile syntax is different across various OSs, command line syntax is different, too. It's probably somewhat more portable to use the "oneliner" method from ExtUtils::MakeMaker for constructing the command line.	[reply]
