Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
I have a perlTk script with a scrollbar that doesnt scroll very well. I suspect the script is waiting for a database query to finish. I've looked at fork and system but they don't look like the answer.
Can you be more specific? What do you mean by "doesn't scroll very well"? What platform are you on? There are some issues with scrolling on Win32. You can search archives of comp.lang.perl.tk for more info.
