deep submerge has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
Update: Problem solved, thanks to Browser. Just goes to show that spell checking (upper/lowercase checking) is still very important...
I've tried Googling and searching everything I know, but I think I'm about done with that... So, I ask for your wisdom and experience. I have:
tie my %HASH, "DB_FILE", "file" or die;And I get the following on my server:
Can't locate object method "TIEHASH" via package "DB_FILE" atWhat does this mean? I see that on Google, many people have had this problem, but none seem to be similar to mine. I'm not using any complicated modules, just DB_FILE. I think somewhere it said there was a bug in the version of Perl combined with some library, but I hope that really isn't the case. Some people suggested recompiling Perl or what have you, but I don't have root access to the machine. Anyway, I hope I wasn't too hasty in asking for help. It seems like a terribly common problem, but none of where I looked made sense (as such with many things we don't yet understand)
