Untainting backtick command data

Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello Monks, some time ago i asked how to untaint backtick commands. By that time, i wasn't logged in. I still can find the question by using Super Search, but i cannot view what has been written. Now i need to know again how to untaint backtick commands. Can anyone help me either by telling me how i can view the replies on my question i asked some time ago or by telling me how to untaint backtick commands? Also it seems that after logging in, i'm being logged out automatically after clicking 'Super Search' or any other link. I can't stay logged in. Greetz, OpelSpeed

Also it seems that after logging in, i'm being logged out automatically after clicking 'Super Search' or any other link. I can't stay logged in. Check that your browser allows cookies perlmonks sets. If cookies are allowed, it is probably a proxy problem.	[reply]

Regarding the inability to stay logged in, this has happened to me once or twice before (ages ago). Delete your cookies, shut down your browser, restart it, and re-login to the site. That usually corrects whatever issue you're having. Since this seems to be mostly a discussion on how to use Super Search, and how to resolve login problems with the Monastery, it's probably more appropriate as a PerlMonks Discussion than a SoPW. ambrus has a good idea. Also check that your computer's time is set correctly (AM vs PM) and the correct time zone. Cookies have a lifetime set on them and if your computer is configured wrong, it can discard them immediately.	[reply]
