ranjan_jajodia has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Monks, i had written a script to login into a https login site where i had used LWP. Recently i changed my os from Red Hat 8 to Suse 9.1. But i am unable to install URI module in Suse 9.1. I get a dynamic error (must be some issue with glibc or other kernel related things). here is the output when i do the 'make test': Failed Test Stat Wstat Total Fail Failed List of Failed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
t/abs.t 45 45 100.00% 1-45
t/heuristic.t 15 1 6.67% 7
1 test skipped.
Failed 2/30 test scripts, 93.33% okay. 46/454 subtests failed, 89.87% okay.
make: *** test_dynamic Error 255
I even even installed Activeperl which comes with URI. But it doesnot has Crypt::SSLeay support which is required by LWP for https sites. Is there a way out without changing the OS? Thanks for help, Ranjan

Well, if it's not closely guarded classified information, perhaps you could share with us what the "dynamic error" message says? While there are a number of perlmonks who are very good at what they do, very few of them are actually psychic.
HI matija, No it is not a closely guarded information :-). Here is what i get when i do 'make test':
Failed Test Stat Wstat Total Fail Failed List of Failed
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
      t/abs.t 45 45 100.00% 1-45
      t/heuristic.t 15 1 6.67% 7
      1 test skipped.
Failed 2/30 test scripts, 93.33% okay. 46/454 subtests failed, 89.87% okay.
      make: *** test_dynamic Error 255
And I definitelywish monks could be psychics ;-),
      Thanks,
      Ranjan
        What does

        perl -Iblib/lib t/abs.t
        perl -Iblib/lib t/heuristic.t

        say?
