I recently installed SuSE 9.1 and I got the same error when I tried to install Bundle::CPAN: Recursive dependency detected.

I just ignored it at the time but looking at the message again it apears File::Spec amd CWD both require each other which leads to the recursive dependency. You could try upgrade these files individually first and then rerun the the install Bundle::
