Will the AM who is (assuming there's just one AM involved) replying with just a link to How (Not) To Ask A Question please take the time to comment on which part of the advice there they are particularly wanting to highlight? Otherwise, it's just a waste of everyone's time.

    I can only assume it's because the OP didn't contain a solution attempt? I think the OPs were acceptable in these cases because they were "atomic" problems, where you either had a solution or you didn't. They didn't know where to start.

    Even if the AM was right, a post consisting of a lone link is the worse of them all. It's very hypocritical (and rude) of someone purporting to point out the OP's lack of effort!

    (I'm not either AMs.)
