Downloading Files Across an Intranet

bkiahg has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello Monks,

Once again I come looking to be pointed in the right direction. I am looking for a module that will download and save files across an intranet. Basically pulling from a web server to another box. It is a mix of html, word, excel, etc. Any help will be appreciated.

Sounds like you want LWP — if its packaged LWP::Simple wrapper suffices for your needs, it's about as much work as `getstore( $url, $filename );` Makeshifts last the longest.	[reply] [d/l]
