Actually, check out Seppuku on Wikipedia: hara-kiri is a vulgar term for the same act. Coding like a Samurai would involve doing things according to a strict code of conduct and with attention to one's personal morals. A Samurai coder would modify code in the "correct" style regardless of the original code style.
