Whilst stumped writing a message on a birthday card for a fellow geek, I came up with this:

print 'Happy Birthday to ',$_%3?'you':'Steve',"!\n" for(1..4);

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

    I think I would use 
    print 'Happy Birthday ',$_%3?'to you':'Dear Steve',"!\n" for(1..4);

    [download]
    "to Steve" sounds like you're speaking to a third party.
