in reply to How do "you" make a tree in perl

HTML::Template uses AoH(oAoH) for loops (and loops of loops). While not a tree in the classical sense, that data structure is tree-ish, I suppose.

When I do use trees, I tend to put them in the database and let Oracle figure them out using CONNECT BY.

Being right, does not endow the right to be rude; politeness costs nothing.
Being unknowing, is not the same as being stupid.
Expressing a contrary opinion, whether to the individual or the group, is more often a sign of deeper thought than of cantankerous belligerence.
Do not mistake your goals as the only goals; your opinion as the only opinion; your confidence as correctness. Saying you know better is not the same as explaining you know better.

I shouldn't have to say this, but any code, unless otherwise stated, is untested

HTML::Template's TMPL_LOOP structures is a good one, thanks. I had not really thought of that one, even though I use HTML::Template all the time.

I was thinking about writing some Visitors for reading trees out of databases too, but I doubt I will have enough time to really do that before my next project starts.

BTW - I like the new sig.
