I suggest to use XML::SIMPLE. It is quite good and easy to use it. I am on this kind of project. See ya

XML::Simple is easy but does not really provide DTD features. I have similar concerns as you in XML reader and checker and have found XML::LibXML pretty useful.	[reply]
