in reply to perl web store

Well as my first foray into Perl, I setup a sample web store based on the old Perlshop store script. I added a ton of features, cleaned out all the javascript, made an Administrator, and an easy setup program to generate the catalog. All you do is put the photos in directories named for their store-catagories, and run the update_catalog script.

Now it is very much like Perl4, but it runs good, and dosn't need many modules, especially if you don't want CC transactions. In that case, you can remove alot of the code. The original Perlshop used the old cgi parser, but I switched it to the CGI module. It uses a CSV database.

You can run the store at Zentara's Store

Download it Here

And play with the Administrator Administrator (The password is 'z-store', and it was designed for only one login at a time, so if you can't log in, someone else is testing it. If you try it, on the left frame, select your function from the Drop-down-Box, and click DO_IT

Now before the smarter monks critisize this Perl4 style code, I admit it is old style, but you don't need many modules, or Mysql, etc, and would be good in this situation. Plus I'll help you set it up if you need help.
