chiburashka has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello to you all,
If that's my code :

#!/usr/bin/perl -w use Net::Whois::IP qw(whoisip_query); my $ip = "127.0.0.1"; my $tt = 0; my @tyy; my $response = whoisip_query($ip); foreach (sort keys(%{$response}) ) { print "$_ $response->{$_} \n"; $tyy[$tt] = "$_ $response->{$_} \n"; $tt++; }

Also it returns the following for the localhost :

    As others have pointed out an individual IP will not have an individual entry in a IP Registries whois database. The smallest unit you are going to get is a network - specified here in the ARIN database by the NetHandle, NetName and NetRange fields. Of course this will be different in the database of, say, RIPE, which will have a different format.

    If you're querying the whois data for localhost and the local machine is configured correctly, that name will always resolve to the IP 127.0.0.1. The whois-lookup for 127.0.0.1 will stay the same until the owner of the range this IP is in (127.0.0.0 - 127.255.255.255) changes (in this case extremely unlikely) or the range itself changes (also extremely unlikely in this case).

    If I misunderstood your question, please clarify.

    The field names.
