It seems like Pod::Select is more along the line of what you are looking for:

           use Pod::Select;

           ## Select all the POD sections for each file in @filelist
           ## and print the result on standard output.
           podselect(@filelist);
[download]

I haven't checked it, but it seems reasonable that you could override podselect to simply return a text string.

I know this is old...but it's exactly what I'm trying to do. How would I go about overiding the modlules function?	[reply]
