perldoc -f pack
warn pack 'H*', 4345317546 ; die unpack 'H*', CE1uF;

I run a Win32 PPM repository for perl 5.6.x and 5.8.x -- I take requests (README).

    I can't be the only experienced perl hacker who finds pack() and unpack() to be a complete headfuck. I can never remember which of them to use, and can never figure out exactly what template to pass to them.

    Does anyone know of a good tutorial?
