in reply to Bjarne Stroustrup on Perl

Please note that it is fairly easy to fake an address on Usenet. I think it unlikely that Bjarne Stroustrup would spell awesome incorrectly, or post a note that was so short :)

...Not to mention, by googling for recent Usenet posts by Bjarne Stroustrup, one can see that he always posts with a signature line, and never signs his messages "B".

Still, it's rather clever. I'm not sure whether the person who posted it was trying to make a tongue-in-cheek statement about what Perl has, or what C has had for awhile, but it's worthy of a grin.

And, by analyzing the headers of the fake and other messages by Stroustrup you may notice an important difference:

The fake message was Posted via Supernews, http://www.supernews.com, Stroustrup's other messages were posted via http://groups.google.com.

/me goes away doing more important things...
