Problem installing WWW::Curl on OS X

phildobbin has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm trying to install WWW::Curl on OS X 10.2/Perl 5.6.0 and Curl 7.7.2.
From cpan I'm getting this:

  Can't test without successful make
Running make install
  make had returned bad status, install seems impossible

All the other modules I've ever installed have been fine so
I don't think it's a compiler problem per se.
Has anybody else seen this?

It sounds like the curl library used by WWW::Curl is out of date.	[reply]

I haven't seen that problem. I installed WWW:Curl fine on my apple running: Mac OSX Version: 10.3.6 Perl Version: 5.8.1 downloaded the module from cpan here	[reply]
