If your module depends on Win32::OLE, I would strongly urge you to put it under that namespace or, at the very least, in the Win32 namespace. Windows-specific modules are definitely the exception rather than the rule in Perl1, so I would consider it polite to mark it in some way, rather than put it into the general population.

Personally, I'd call it Win32::Word::Writer::Simple - it's Win32-specific, it deals with Word, it writes, and it's simple. Or, if you feel ambitious, call it Win32::Word::Writer and allow yourself to be suckered into supporting all of the OLE commands that Word supports. :-)

  1. Frankly, any OS-specific module is the exception rather than the rule in Perl. It just so happens that Windows likes being exception-al more than most. *shrugs*

Being right, does not endow the right to be rude; politeness costs nothing.
Being unknowing, is not the same as being stupid.
Expressing a contrary opinion, whether to the individual or the group, is more often a sign of deeper thought than of cantankerous belligerence.
Do not mistake your goals as the only goals; your opinion as the only opinion; your confidence as correctness. Saying you know better is not the same as explaining you know better.
