PHP5 fixes a lot of issues, including namespaces. In fact, my personal checklist of things that annoy me about PHP compared to Perl are pretty much taken care of in PHP5. Unfortunately, namespaces didn't make the cut in PHP 5.	[reply]

Well that's good to hear (at least from a nonbiased standpoint ; ). I will admit that after first comparing Perl and PHP, I've never really given PHP a fair shot again.	[reply]

And don't forget fastcgi which isn't nearly as deep as mod_perl but, if I'm correctly informed, is even faster for vanilla CGI.	[reply]
