Voting on your own considerations

Am I supposed to be able to vote on my own considerations? When you consider a node, the voting buttons are hidden. But, if you refresh, you get them back ... which is it?

Being right, does not endow the right to be rude; politeness costs nothing.
Being unknowing, is not the same as being stupid.
Expressing a contrary opinion, whether to the individual or the group, is more often a sign of deeper thought than of cantankerous belligerence.
Do not mistake your goals as the only goals; your opinion as the only opinion; your confidence as correctness. Saying you know better is not the same as explaining you know better.

Yes, you are and you can. You don't see the buttons immediately after considering, because that part of the nodelet gets rendered before the actual check if this was a new consideration is done - or words to that effect, anyway.. Yesyes, its fixed, its just awaiting porting from the dev server, and some more testing would be nice.. C.	[reply]

You are supposed to vote, yes. PM has no way to guess what action you're advocating unless you tell it explicitly. (Or are you asking about etiquette? Like some people avoid voting on nodes they front-page? Well, in this case the issue seems very clear. Yes, you should vote on your consideration -- if you noticed something is wrong, you want it fixed.)	[reply]

You know, I asked the same thing yesterday. I was going to post it here but ended up asking in the CB. It also helps to have a roommate who belongs to pmdev and thus can answer such questions accurately.	[reply]

If you don't vote, you don't get to see how others voted unless you go to Nodes to Consider. So I'd vote for that reason, as well as all the other good ones already posted. Mike	[reply]
