grinder has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Manglement wants a quick and dirty questionnaire/quiz to display on our corporate web site. I've been searching around for a while, and downloaded a whole pile of stinking garbage.

I've seen lots of stuff that I suspect, were I to fire up a copy of 4.019, would run just fine.

I've seen lots of scripts with no -w switch or use strict. Now, I'm not a strictures nazi and won't hold not using it against anybody, but if I'm going to download random code from a total stranger, it's not getting off to a good start.

I've seen things you would not believe, I've seen pipes opened to /usr/bin/sendmail, &quaint &function &calls, print, print, print, print down the page, global variables ($show_top_ten_scores = "yes";), $identity_factor eq 0, chop...

So please, has anyone seen something written that's decent? Something template-driven, styled, possibly database-backed? I'm not fussed about cookies or security... it's just for fun. Well no, actually, the point is that by filling out the quiz you'll be convinced you have to do business with my company, but don't tell anyone I said that.

Somewhat OT, but I always thought it was an interesting stat that variations of the good ol' f-word appear 281 times in The Big Lebowski (or 2.4 times per minute).

Also, the Dude says "man" 144 times (1.23 times per minute).

Ok. Dumb question of the day...If I don't use a pipe to sendmail how is the script going to send the email?
