    Interesting. You call Ruby, released in 1995, "new". OTOH, Perl5, released in october 1994 (although you mention 1995 in your slides) has a problem, it's getting old.

    Will Ruby have a problem and "be getting old" soon as well? Or perhaps, it's already old - the Perl6 train was started in 2000, even before perl5's sixth birthday!
