Perhaps I should have sent a private mail to a higher up, but if I and my friend have this problem, then other newbies might also.

Almost ten times I've tried to register here, and each time I did not receive an email confirmation. I also had a friend try to register as well, and they did not get anything either.

I just asked for a password reminder and it showed up in my e-mail inbox immediately. So perhaps the problem has cleared. Or you've got problems receiving e-mail from us at your address.

Ask for a password reminder again (at What's my password?) and if that doesn't work, you may need to use a different e-mail address.

With no details, there isn't much else to check.

I'm the original poster. Just created a Yahoo account and got the registration mail immediately. Thanks!

UPDATE: The domain I failed to receive email from was globaleyes.net

I'd see if your spam filter is causing a problem. At my current job, I can't register for any boards or email lists b/c their spam filter sends them to /dev/null along with a bunch of spam. If you're using messagelabs for filtering this will be a problem. Use a Yahoo! or Gmail account and you should be OK.

I had the same problem some time ago. I never received my initial password, and when I entered my email address into the "Forgot my password" form, it said that the email was okay and the password on its way out. Never reached me. I did send a private mail to a higher up, but never got a response.

Everything worked fine when I registered my current account (using a different email address). So I am thinking it has something to do with the email provider, that the mail somehow got dropped. The one that did not work for me was @users.sourceforge.net (which I sometimes suspect at losing emails, but maybe I am just paranoid, all the test emails I sent myself were delivered without problems). Did anyone have trouble with SF.net emails?

Question to the higher ups: Are there many user accounts created that have never been logged in to? Should those maybe be reaped after, say, three months?
