nop has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm getting the following pod error:
no title for fcst.pl at D:/Perl/lib/Pod/Html.pm line 402
What's wrong? How do I specify a title? Thanks!

Without knowing details, I'm guessing that you are having trouble with pod2html. This will give an error if you do not specify a title for the html document you want to make.

    The correct usage is:

    pod2html --infile="[filename]" --outfile="[filename]" --title="[some text for a title]"

You can get a full list of options by running:

    pod2html --help

Pod::HTML (which is basically the guts of pod2html) looks for a title for your document in a "=head1 NAME" pod directive. Other translators, most likely, will look for your title in the same place. The fact that you're getting this warning indicates that you don't have such a directive. Do you?

    If not, you should:

=head1 NAME foo - my foo program ...

Show me your pod "code" so that I can try to see what you are doing wrong.
