Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

<a href="../cgi-bin/rush2.cgi?IcNumber1=$IcNumber1"><img src="../image +s/exportBtn.gif"></a>

How do I pass a string from this file(rush1.cgi) to rush2.cgi

And how do I call back the string $IcNumber1 in rush2.cgi? TQ

This is not a Perl question .. it's a CGI question; I strongly recommend you study up on that subject so that you understand about how it's possible to pass parameters from a URL into a CGI.

Updated using italics thanks to BrowserUK.

Along with the CGI docs, you might want to look at Ovid's Cgi Course.
