Usually I am too busy to reply to questions like this one, because I use the computer 1. to earn money, 2. to contact fellow skaters.
But it should be appreciated that perlmonks.org is a site where you can get advice, training and supervision for free - and you can get it from some of the most skilled perl hackers like Merlyn. I have often found good advice in this community, and as I am not paying, the two things I can return are 1. giving advice to others when I have time and if I am sure about my answers, and 2. being thankful and providing my "trainers" with the required information. Nothing else do the people expect from you when you ask a question. And as you see, several people honestly made an effort to help you.
It's a normal thing to get frustrated in front of the computer sometimes. Why not have a break, go sporting, and come back refreshed to have a second look at your problem? That has often helped me when I got frustrated ...
