Getting at the data from a stringified reference.

opensourcer has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

hi monks is it possible get the data from a hashref or scalarref or filepointer, using something like below:

GLOB(0x1a4569c)
HASH(0x1a45654)

You mean you have a "smashed" string and want to get back at your data? See Devel::Pointer, but be careful out there. It's generally much better design to keep a live reference around.	[reply]
