I don't use Module::Install, so I have no idea. However, you feel that the behavior is, at the very least, counter-intuitive. So, open an RT ticket. If the maintainer doesn't feel that it's a bug, they'll close the ticket with (hopefully) some useful information as to why they feel it's not a bug. At this point, you know have documentation that someone thought this wasn't good and the maintainer explaining why it's ok. And, this is the worst case scenario. Sounds good to me ... Being right, does not endow the right to be rude; politeness costs nothing. Being unknowing, is not the same as being stupid. Expressing a contrary opinion, whether to the individual or the group, is more often a sign of deeper thought than of cantankerous belligerence. Do not mistake your goals as the only goals; your opinion as the only opinion; your confidence as correctness. Saying you know better is not the same as explaining you know better.	[reply]
