Working with DBI and DBD::Oracle

vksbalaji has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

hey... i've been trying to run this simple script to get details from the database and i'm using dbi.pm for that....the script does'nt seem to work...and its giving this error

Can't locate loadable object for module DBI in @INC (@INC contains: C:
+\perl\lib
C:/Perl/lib C:/Perl/site/lib .) at C:\scripts\dbaccess.pl line 4
Compilation failed in require at C:\scripts\dbaccess.pl line 4.

Install DBI and then install DBD::Oracle. Keep in mind that before installing DBD::Oracle, You need to have Oracle client libraries installed and ORACLE_HOME variable set. Good Luck!!	[reply]
