Install/configure Meep board without telnet access?

dunstable has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Oh wise monks of Perl, I beg of you to assist me in my quest, which is the one of installing and configuring the message board Meep (http://www.standpipe.com/site/meepboard.html), whithout having shell access to my server. It says I need a telnet access, but I am hoping this can be done without it. Can it be done, and how? Respect.

dunstable, welcome to the monastery. I hope you end up sticking around for a while, especially since you may or may not get some angry responses for posting a question that is not really a perl question. Install Perl Modules Using FTP Without Having Shell Access? has some answers that might help you in installing individual modules, Intrepid points out rBuild hack, which can also act as a way to install modules, and tinita wrote Installing modules without root and shell, which could also help you. If you have Perl-specific questions, we will help you, but general installation questions should be answered by the documentation and support that the Meep!Board developers offer you.	[reply]
