    Sound of the drums
    Beatin' in my heart
    The thunder of guns
    Tore me apart
    You've been - thunder. . . strict ;)

Sorry, could not resist :), but nice haiku.

(Just for the sake of giving credit to original writer: AC/DC (Young, Young, and Johnson (correct me if it was Scott) Thunderstruck, sorry for the blindingly obvious ;)
Heh. Thanks. And the song accurately describes my state of mind when I realized I'd done something *really dumb* in my code... :-)

    Nice poem!
      Thanks :-)

I am continually amazed by Perl. I'll see some funky bit to the language and think, "Now why on earth would they do that?". Then I'll learn a bit more, and have that wonderful "AHA!" moment.

      It's humbling, really.
