Hi, for the 2 people on PM that don't read slashdot: here is a 'simple' evaluation of demand for knowledge of specific programming languages/platforms in the US jobmarket. Perl ends 4th in languages, after java, .net and c++. And yes, of course there are a lot of remarks that can be made about the method of evaluation.
