I wanted to learn about LWP, and didn't find much about it on Perlmonks.
Found this link to a free out-of-print book online: www.oreilly.com/openbook/webclient
Great resource... I highly recommend it.

You should send mail to Clinton to tell him you liked his book, because I understand that it was not well-received, which is why ORA let it go out of print and posted it on the web site.

The title is probably misleading to most less experienced Perl programmers. I bought it because I buy every O'Reilly book that has to do with Perl. I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting, although I knew that the book was meant to talk about things like the FedEx Package Tracker.

Of course, I realize why it is called "Web Client Programming" now that I have written more than one LWP-based program.

It's a shame that they have allowed it to go out of print. On the other hand, it is in need of update because many of the modules discussed have been modified several times since then.
