Don't know if it's your implementation (i don't play with Gtk2), but when dragging items from one side to the other, the main application window acts as if it loses focus (the titlebar changes colors like it does when it loses focus), and that's unusual (and annoying).

    That's Gtk2. It happens because the dragging icon is like a mini-window and it has the focus now.
