in reply to Installing PerlMagick
Hello Again,
Well I have managed to install the Imager module from cpan with no problems at all and plugged it into my script and it's working well, only the colours in the image it generates are all wrong... I will have a play around with the settings to see if I can make them better, but take a look at the following images to see what I mean.
The original images look like this:
http://www.freefivers.co.uk/images/ps/World%20Gallery/ztb_im_g344.jpg
http://www.freefivers.co.uk/images/ps/Your%20Price%20Furniture/3drawerbedsidechest.jpg
The scaled down images look like this:
http://www.freefivers.co.uk/images/ps/World%20Gallery/thumbnails/ztb_im_g344.gif
http://www.freefivers.co.uk/images/ps/Your%20Price%20Furniture/thumbnails/3drawerbedsidechest.png
Hmm the colours are so far out i'm not sure I can use it like this... I'd be interested to know if anyone has experience with this and how I can get the colours to match better, i've tried different file formats, i.e. .gif and .png, but they both look rubbish. It doesn't seem to create .jpg files, so I presume that library isn't installed as you said.
Thanks, otherwise a totally cool module.
