    That's normal. That's also what happens when you blab in the CB instead of voting. All that's inherited when you talk in the CB or vote is the node_id of the node you are viewing and the displaytype. This means that on search results, Not found, The Drunk page, or Super Search, you lose the search query if you say someting in the CB; in the preview page and the comment on, you have to go back to continue your writeup if you blab on the cb, otherwise both the text and the parent node are lost.

    This has the advantage of making the html page shorter and the code simpler, and to avoid re-running a super-search unnecessarrily.

      It'd be nice to have a faqlet (site documentation) explaining this.
