You will not need Haskell, but Parrot should be required.

And, by the way, Pugs is not using Parrot at all at the moment, right?

There is some work on a parrot backend for pugs. Haven't tried it yet, though (debian-unstable's ghc is now too old, apparently). "What should it profit a man, if he should win a flame war, yet lose his cool?"	[reply]
