CGIProxy script problem

The error message is pretty clear - the user under which CGIProxy is running does not have the right permissions to make a socket connection. Check the faq. -derby	[reply]

Why are you asking how to use Perl if you think it's poor and primitive? Why not use something else that's, in your opinion, rich and evolved? And we'll probably need more information. razorbladebidet is right about it, the script is indeed to primitive to understand your great and high evolved mind. Better use C# or Java to do this. update ah, now i understand, you want a simple and easy solution to solve the problem. well, that's indeed clear what derby said. the rights of either the server or the scripts aren't correct. are you using apache with suid on? please provide some more info to exactly pin-point the problem.
