The United Kingdom is in the Western European Time Zone. Western European Standard Time (WET) is Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). See this site for the details.	[reply]

The site to which you linked contradicts you. In big bold characters, it says the UK is currently using GMT+1, not GMT. The site goes on to say the UK sometimes uses GMT, sometimes uses BST (which is GMT+1).	[reply]

Since the text in my post is actually a cut and paste from the page that I linked to then I don't see how it can contradict itself! This is a Timezone Map (PDF) which shows the UK and Portugal in the same timezone. This History of Timezones explains the concept better than I can.	[reply]
