Suppose I have a task to perform in perl and that I do know how to do it. Still I'd like to ask how others would do it, somewhat in a challenge fashion, but not {necessarily, completely}: should I post it under Seekers of Perl Wisdom or Meditations?

In that scenario you may know how to do it, but you're still seeking Perl wisdom. Meditations are generally more philosophical in nature.

Where should I post X? says:

      Seekers of Perl Wisdom

      • Questions related to real-life problems
      • Most posts go here

      Meditations

      • Epiphanies related to programming and perl in general.
Now it seems to me that the kind of question hinted to in my OP may fit both, although taking into account also the other answers I got, the former is probably (slightly) better suited for it.

Toss a coin and choose a spot. Maybe add a note in your post "this may not be the best section, suggestions to move to the appropriate section appreciated." Let the monks look at it and vote on it (if anyone even considers it). From the sounds of it, the node could go in either section -- it's not like you're posting a question into the obfu section or anything.
