    so, Paul Graham's a reasonably prolific writer. What specific essay(s) did you have in mind? Or are you referring to his book?

    Doesn't he say: "You should rewrite every thing in lisp and only hire genuises like me?"
      In addition to that, he also describes how a good software developer deals with their users and betatesters. That's the relevant bit.

        But, again, there's something like 40 essays on his web site, and none of them have a title that refers to users or beta testers. So, I'm still unclear on what precisely you think we should read that's relevant to this topic.
