in thread Why Module::Build?

is that it seems to me that open source works best when the consumers realise that we can't demand features and hector developers
Maybe in theory, maybe in some other case, but in the case of Module::Build (what this thread is about), consumers can and must demand features and hector these developers, because it is our collective lives they're making difficult immediately, for promise of some benefit that's yet to come.

    You appear to be unclear on the concept of what you, as a consumer, deserve from me, as a producer.

    You can ask for a feature and I might add it. Your chances are better if you produce a test case and even more so if you also produce a code patch. If you really want it, offer some sort of remuneration. Heck, if you absolutely must have Makefile support beyond what M::B produces in traditional mode, volunteer to maintain that part of the distribution.

    If you demand, badger, whine, complain, belittle, berate, or hector me, I will cheerfully ignore you.

    Them's the breaks.
