Yes there is ActiveState for Windows, I it's not only Perl distribution for windows. I for instace have IndigoPerl from IndigoStar.com - It's nice convinient bundle of Apache and Perl and it's compatible with ActiveState (can use PPM's ...)

I seem to again have problem of explaining myself and my tougths:|

How many ordinary people (desktop users) know about Perl?
How many of them know about Java?

How many of them have Java installed?
How many of them have Perl installed

Am I any more clear now?

      Crystal :)

Yes, when it boils down to it, (I would say that) Java has better PR among casual users.
