Re: How can I send email with attachments if MIME::Lite isn't available?

No, CGI won't help with that. Did you spell it "MIME::Lite", with an "E"?
There are lots of mailer modules, check your host's perl libs for the "Mail" directory.

Yes, I did, I checked the mailer modules you ask me to check, sorry, I went threw around 10+ pages and didn't find any thing. I been trying to use sendmail. and that doesn't seem to even send out mail of any kind. and I'll keep looking for somw thing that will work
Thanks

If you can put Perl CGI scripts on the host, what's stopping you from installing MIME::Lite or any other Module in your own library-directory?

Hi! Paul.
Because I don't have access to my libary. I get free hosting from www.netfirms.com and they won't give me access to that. and the problem not installing Lite.pm. I installed it, it just doesn't seem to send out mail at all.

I just tried the link to the script you gave deeper in the thread (www.joes-computer.com/cgi-bin/webcards/webcards.cgi) and it seems to work. I received the email...twice with pictures and all.

Ok, your telling me that you tryed it and it worked. Ok, look. if it did work, try sending one to bigjoe11a@gmail.com. I tryed to get it to send a card to a friend and my self, and it won't send.
Thanks

I just did and I got one copy of the card so you should be getting your copy shortly.
Id doesn't look like it's bouncing back at all (which looking at your code posted elsewhere, it would bounce back to me). Perhaps your ISP has a spam filter or something.
A note about the code you posted. Since you didn't declare any variables with my, I assume that you're not doing 'use strict;'. And quite possibly not taint (except with sendmail?). And if those two aren't there, you're probably also not 'use warnings;'. Turning on strict, warnings, and taint is annoyingly noisy at first, but you'll save yourself a lot of headaches. Read this for more info: Use strict warnings and diagnostics or die. Lesson three of Ovid's CGI Course is something you should pay particular attention to.
