Have you had a look at Ovid's HTML::Tokeparser::Simple, a wrappre araound Tokeparser? Some say, and I'm among them, it's easier to use and understand this wrapper.

Other than that, I haven't had a chance to process the info in your latest iteration, but it looks like you are on the right track. If you really want a review, you might have to repost or give a yell out in the chatterbox, as by now this thread probably isn't getting much attention. This may get you downvoted, but sometimes that's worth the price. (Which is actually $0.00)
